Raipur, Chhattisgarh – Devraj Patel, a well-known YouTuber and comedian hailing from Chhattisgarh and famous for his viral “Dil Se Bura Lagta Hai Bhai” meme, tragically lost his life in a road accident on June 26. The 22-year-old internet sensation, originally from Mahasamund, rose to fame through a video meme that garnered widespread attention due to his emotional response to hateful and mocking comments on his content. Since its emergence in 2019, the video has been widely shared across social media platforms.
According to local authorities, Patel was riding a motorcycle when a speeding truck collided with him from behind, resulting in the fatal accident. Just hours before the tragic incident, he had shared a video on his Instagram page, unaware of the unforeseen events that would follow.
Devraj Patel had become a prominent figure in Chhattisgarh’s entertainment landscape, capturing the hearts of millions with his unique sense of humor. His popularity reached new heights when he had the opportunity to collaborate with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, a video that gained immense traction on social media. Following the devastating news of Patel’s untimely demise, Chief Minister Baghel expressed his grief and shared a heartfelt tribute on Twitter.
“Devraj Patel, who made his place among crores of people with ‘Dil Se Bura Lagta Hai,’ who made us all laugh, left us today. The loss of amazing talent at this young age is very sad. May God give strength to his family and loved ones to bear this loss. Om Shanti,” Chief Minister Baghel tweeted, accompanied by a video featuring him and the late Patel.
Earlier, Patel had also announced through a video that he had relocated to Raipur. In 2021, he had the opportunity to appear in the pilot episode of the popular Indian YouTuber Bhuvan Bam’s web series, Dhindora.
