METABORA SG, the Web3 gaming arm of South Korean gaming giant Kakao Games, has joined forces with blockchain-focused gaming platform Oasys, unveiling a strategic collaboration aimed at reshaping the landscape of blockchain gaming.

With a keen focus on Japan, METABORA SG plans to capitalize on Oasys’ robust presence and expansive regional network to drive its expansion initiatives forward. Japan, renowned as a global gaming hub with projected revenues of US$44.41 billion in 2023 and an anticipated surge in gaming enthusiasts reaching 48.2% by 2028, presents a lucrative opportunity for METABORA SG. Leveraging Oasys’ partnerships with major Japanese gaming entities, the collaboration aims to provide strategic guidance to navigate this competitive market terrain.

These alliances have facilitated the introduction of groundbreaking initiatives such as a digital asset wallet by GroundX and the expansion of its game portfolio with titles like Summoners War: Chronicles and The Walking Dead: All-Stars.
