Traders of Bitcoin Ordinals on Magic Eden marketplace are in for a treat with an upcoming NFT token airdrop, courtesy of the Non-Fungible DAO.
The anticipated airdrop of the “NFT” token by the Non-Fungible DAO aims to reward Bitcoin Ordinals traders on the Magic Eden platform, spanning both past and future transactions.
Announced via a tweet on Thursday, the Non-Fungible DAO disclosed that users of the MSigner, a tool developed by Magic Eden, enabling traders to sign Partially Signed Bitcoin Transactions (PSBTs) for Ordinals transactions, will receive rewards in the forthcoming token airdrop.
With over 75 million PSBTs signed to date using MSigner and over 1.3 million Ordinals swaps on the marketplace, the DAO expressed its intention to extend support to other platforms adopting MSigner technology, potentially benefiting traders across various marketplaces.
The NFT token, unveiled by the DAO in January, is described as a “community-owned, decentralized organization” aimed at advancing the protocols driving the future of NFT commerce.
Magic Eden, currently the leading cross-chain marketplace by trading volume, plans to contribute its NFT minting and trading technologies to the DAO. These include MSigner on Bitcoin, Magic Eden’s Ethereum launchpad contract, and its Solana marketplace and collection offers/automated market maker smart contracts.
While the Non-Fungible DAO’s creators remain anonymous, Magic Eden asserts its independence from the DAO. General Manager Tiffany Huang clarified in January that the DAO comprises individuals with a track record of launching various tokens.
