Elon Musk has recently denied claims that he plans to donate $45 million to a pro-Trump Political Action Committee (PAC). The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that Musk intended to make this donation. However, Musk took to social media platform X to refute these claims.
In a post on July 16, Musk called the WSJ report false. He shared an image reading “FAKE GNUS,” indicating that he has no such plans. This denial comes amidst ongoing U.S. election activities, where former President Trump remains a prominent figure.
The WSJ report followed an assassination attempt on Trump, which has stirred discussions nationwide. Another report by Bloomberg suggested Musk planned to donate $45 million a month to the pro-Trump PAC. Musk strongly denied these allegations as well.
A post by X News Daily, a news account on Musk’s social media app, further confirmed that Musk did not commit any donations. The post highlighted campaign finance laws, which require political groups to reveal their donor lists publicly. Therefore, if Musk were to donate, it would be made public in due course.
Despite denying plans to donate, Musk has shown support for Trump. Following the assassination attempt, Musk posted, “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery.” This statement reflects Musk’s confidence in Trump’s potential as a presidential candidate.
Musk’s comments have sparked nationwide speculations and discussions. The entrepreneur’s influence and statements continue to draw significant attention in the political landscape.
