The initiative is spearheaded by Sodexo’s Benefits and Rewards Services (BRS) division, which recently rebranded as Pluxee and has plans to become a separate public entity in 2024. Collaborating with the Dfinity Foundation and NFT marketplace Yumi via the Internet Computer blockchain, Pluxee aims to bring a vibrant shift to its workforce by creating employee NFTs.
The NFT collection, named “The X Collection,” features digital artwork by applied artist Candace Marquette, showcasing digitally rendered individuals and animals inspired by six natural elements: clouds, land, water, light, air, and fire. This artistic collaboration demonstrates Pluxee’s embrace of cutting-edge technology and its commitment to innovation within the employee benefits space.
Sodexo, listed on Euronext Paris, serves an extensive range of services, including school and workplace food services, facilities management, and workplace management. With a presence in 31 countries, the company caters to 100 million consumers daily and boasts a workforce of 422,000 employees. The Pluxee division, responsible for employee benefit initiatives, caters to around 500,000 companies and serves over 36 million users through programs like meal cards and wellness initiatives. Pluxee itself has approximately 5,000 employees.
The Pluxee project encompasses 5,000 digital collectibles in the form of NFTs, each representing one of the countries where Sodexo operates. By incorporating blockchain technology and NFTs into its employee benefits program, Pluxee showcases its commitment to leveraging cutting-edge solutions to enhance the employee experience.
